Question by ruby_alabar: Regina, Saskatchewan?
I am a Human Resource professional from the Philippines and will be moving to Regina, SK as a permanent resident…

1. What are my chances of finding an HR job in Regina? Are there a lot available?

2. Where I can enrol/study about Canadian/Saskatchewan Labour Laws as well as how to administer benefits (retirement, medical, etc.)?

3. Do I need certification as a Human Resource professional before I can work in Regina?

4. Are there any legitimate telecommute/work from home jobs available in Regina? (may be in the call center/customer service industry)

5. What is the average cost of child care for a 4 year ancient kid who’s attending playgroup?

To those who will answer my questions and give a lot of information, thank you in advance.

You do know that Regina is a small bit colder in winter than the Philippines. That -40C is not uncommon in winter, And it can go as long as 10 weeks never going above 0C. On the other hand, the summers are nice and the humidity is generally quite low.

When you get a car, make sure you know about the “block heater”. Because in the winter, whenever it will go below -15C that you have to plug your car into electric power if you want it to start the next morning.

Also, there are few legitimate work at home jobs anywhere.

Expect to pay $ 400 to $ 600 a month for child care.

You can study at the University of Saskatchewan
